Dear Student,

People ascertain the strength of a nation by the richness of its natural resources, the power in terms of the armed strength it possesses and the pride that people of the nation display towards its culture. The poet, however, is not in agreement with this thought. According to him, resource-rich nations face the threat of attack from outsiders. Such nations cannot be regarded as strong. The poet also asserts that the showcase of armed might results in bloodshed and loss of lives. The power of such nations gradually decay. Pride is also disliked by God and cannot make a nation great. According to the poet, brave and hardworking men who suffer for the benefit and welfare of the nation make a nation strong.
