Pls solve Q11 10. When brakes are applied to a bus. the retardation produced is 25 cril s-2 and the bus takes 20 s to stop. Calculate : (i) the initial velocity of bus, arui (ii) the distance travelled by bus during this time. Ans. (i) 5 m s-l, (ii) 50m 11. A body moves from rest with a uniform acceleration and travels 270 m in 3 s. Find the velocity of the body at 10 s after the start. Ans. 600 m s-l 12. A body moving with a constant acceleration travels the distances 3 m and 8 m respectively in I s and 2 s. Calculate : (i) the initial velocity, and (ii) the acceleration of body.

Given, u = 0,

s = 270m in time t =3s

v =? at time t = 10s

First we find acceleration of body a =?

We use, s = ut + 0.5 at2

=> 270 = 0*3 + 0.5*a*3*3

=> a = 540/9 = 60m/s2

Now, velocity of train after 10s.

v = u +at

=> v = 0 + 60*10 = 600 m/s
