Pls solve the first question only

When ever the electric current flows through circuit, magnetic compass show deflection due to magnetic effect of current.

first make a circuit , then leave some space between the wire to give the connection place the object you want to test  as the conductor

You have to make an electric circuit in which the wires go throw the empty matchbox. The wires that go throught the empty matchbox should not have the insulation on them. Now bring the magnetic compass near these wires and if the needle gets deflected then the elecric current is flowing and the circuit is working. We know this because when electricity passes through a wire the wire gets slightly charged thus, defkecting the needle of a magnetic needle.
