Mrs.Hall refused to serve Griffin his breakfast one day because his rent was not yet paid.Griffin assured her that he would be able to pay soon,to which Mrs.Hall asked him how he suddenly got the money to pay the rent as he told her a few days ago that he had nothing in hand.Moreover she raised further questions regarding why Griffin was dressed in that way,what he was doing in his room and why he was behaving so strangely.Griffin was angry and irritated by this and in a fit of anger suddenly decided to unveil himself to Mrs.Hall and others.Everyone expected to see some kind of a deformed face but they were shocked and surprised when they were greeted with his invisibility.Mrs,Hall was frightened and it lead to a huge commotion.Soon constable Jaffers came to arrest Griffin because he was accused of the Burglary in the vicars house.Griffin took off all his clothes and became completely invisible to escape from there.He managed to dodge everyone including Jaffers.Moreover he caused a lot of havoc in Iping before leaving from there.
