It is true that Green Revolution affected India positively as well as negatively. Following are the problems caused due to modern farming methods:
1. The modern farming methods such as HYV seeds, fertilisers, etc. cannot be afforded by the poor farmers.
2. Manual labour is being replaced by large machinery which has led to the problem of unemployment in India.
3. The chemical fertilizers, pesticides, etc. may pollute the soil and may also kill the essential micro organisms present in the soil which make it fertile.
