Plz and this ques

Dear Student

An object will float on the surface of water if its density is less than the density of the liquid it is placed into. A force called upthrust acts on all objects placed in a liquid.  The weight of a floating object is exactly balanced by the upthrust.

An object sinks in water if its density  is more than the density of the liquid. The weight of a sinking
object is greater than the upthrust.

Both the phenomenon  depends on the of the densities of the body and the liquid in which that body is placed .
