i) Percentage of Women is less in regular salaried employment because a larger proportion of women are engaged in the economic activities without any stable contracts and regular and steady income. The stable contracts and regular income are two main features exists in the regular salaried employment.
(ii) Secondly ,Women are engaged in more informal segments of the economy, where they are not given any social security benefits and job security
(iii) Women workforce work in more vulnerable situations than men and have lower bargaining power hence they are paid lesser than the male workforce. Thus, more women workforce found in the self-employment and casual work as compared to men rather than regular salaried employment..
