Plz explain the highlighted line
Dear student,
Niche refers to use of resources by organisms, their adaptations to the prevailing conditions and their interaction with biotic and abiotic factors of the system. Since climate of the tropical region remains more or less constant through out the year, large number of organisms become adapted to the climatic conditions. This leads to presence of large number of plant and animal species in tropics that are adapted to the tropical conditions i.e. greater species diversity.
Regards.
