Dear student,
This diagram explains how igneous rocks are formed.Deep inside the ground there is a molten rock which is known as magma as you can see in the image posted by you.Sometimes, the magma also burst through the surface and these leads to the volcanic eruptions.
When the magma cools and solidifies it leads to the formation of the igneous rocks.
If the magma cools above the surface then it forms extrusive igneous rocks.If it cools below the outer surface then it forms intrusive igneous rocks.
