Two dice are thrown simultaneously 500 times. each time the sum of two number appearing on their tops is noted and recorded as given :-

If the dice are thrown one more, Find the probability of getting a sum ;)

2. more than 11
3. less than or equal to 6
4. between 5 and 10

Answer :

We know Probability  P ( E ) = Total number of desired events n (E )Total number of events n (S )

Here Total number of events n ( S ) =  500

And

1 ) The probability of getting a sum of  7
So,
n ( E ) = 75
And
Probability of getting a sum of  7  = 75500 = 320                ( Ans )

2 ) The probability of getting a sum more than 11
So,
n ( E ) = 70
And
Probability of getting a sum more than 11  = 70500 = 750                ( Ans )

3 ) The probability of getting a sum less than or equal to 6
So,
n ( E ) = 19 + 30 + 22 + 55 + 52 = 178
And
Probability of getting a sum less than or equal to 6  = 178500 = 89250                ( Ans )

4 ) The probability of getting a sum between 5 and 10
So,
n ( E ) = 52 + 75 + 70 + 53  = 250
And
Probability of getting a sum between 5 and 10  = 250500 = 12                ( Ans )
