When the demand for petrol increases but we cannot increased the supply due to heavy import cost than we need to control the demand or decrease the demand of petrol for decreasing the demand of petrol we can use following ways -
(i) Increase the price of petrol so its demand will decrease.
(ii)We can suggest the alternative of petrol like CNG , LPG etc.
(iii) By educating people about using eco- friendly vehicles
