plz solve the question 13 and 14..

Dear Student,
Question 13.
We have been given with the perimeter of the triangular park and the shortest side. We are also given that the longest side is 3 times that of shortest side.
Hence in order to find the third side of the park , we first evaluate the longest side and subtract the sum of the shortest side and the longest side from the perimeter.

Let us start , the shortest side is 20 m ,
the longest side is 3 times the length of shortest side that is 3*20 = 60 m
Now we know that perimeter is the sum of all the sides. Hence subtracting sum of shortest and longest side from the perimeter will give us the third side.
Hence,

Permieter = 130 Mts
Third side = Perimeter  - shortest side - longest side
                = (130-20-60 ) m
                = 50 m
Hence the length of the third side is 50 m _____________Answer 13

Question 14:

Perimeter of equilateral Trianlgle = 42 cm
As we know that all the sides of the equilateral triangle are equal hence perimeter = 3* side
Hence Side = 42/3 = 14 cm

Also given that the each side of the square  is double of the side  of this triangle . Hence the side of the square is 28 cms.

The Perimeter of square = 4 * side
                                       = 4* 28 cms
                                       = 112 cms   ______________ Answer 14
