Plz solve this In the given diagram, m2 can slide on the smooth horizontal surface. The pulleys are small. At an instant the block mt comes down with velocity of 3 m/s. At this instant 0 600. Find the magnitude of velocity of ma at this instant in mls.

At the instant when θ=60o,​​​ the magnitude of velocity of m2 is L m/s, i.e., the distance that can be travelled in 1 s is L m.
Then the rate at which the string in the inclined section will move will be L/cos60 m/s i.e., the distance that can be travelled in 1 s is 2L m.
Thus, the net rate at which mass m1 travels at that instant will be L + 2L = 3L in one sec.
Therefore, 3L m/s = 3m/s This implies that L = 1 m. 
Thus, the speed with which m2 slides will be 1m/s.
