Plz tell the formula stepwise of 4th 5th nd 6th part..?.
Dear student
5.Dichlorobis (ethane-1,2, diamine)chromium (III) chloride
Here we know that the compound contains two Cl atom, as it is Dichloro, Cl2
Again, bis (ethane,1,2,diamine) means two molecules of the entity (en)2
Pt is the metal in (IV) oxidation state, and Nitrate ligand is involved
So the formula becomes
[PtCl2(en)2](NO3)2
6.
Iron (III) hexacyanoferrate(II)
We know that hexa means six, i.e six cyano groups are present along with ferrate /Iron
Also Iron is present in the (III) oxidation state, so it will remain out of the coordination sphere,
The formula becomes Fe4[Fe(CN)6]
Kindly post the remaining doubts in separate threads.
