Ans. Cleft lip
Amniotic fluid is the protective liquid which is present inside the amniotic sac of a pregnant female. It is generated from maternal plasma. Amniocentesis is the medical procedure used for prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities and fetal infections, and also for sex determination in which a small amount of amniotic fluid, which contains fetal tissues, is sampled from the amniotic sac surrounding a developing fetus. The fetal DNA obtained from the amniotic fluid is examined for genetic abnormalities and for determining the sex of the baby.
Cleft lip in itself is not a genetic defect, so it can't be detected by the amniotic fluid.
