Plzz answer this Give reasons for the following : (i) The rate of transpiration increases in hot and dry weather.

In the hot and dry weather the water potential surrounding the air in low therefore, as a result of this more water is rapidly evaporated.

Because in hot and dry conditions the stomata of plants opens and thus more transpiration occurs.
HOWEVER IF TEMPERATURE RISES ABOVE OPTIMUM TEMPERATURE (i.e. 35 degree Celsius)  THEN STOMATA CLOSES AND CONSEQUENTLY THE RATE OF TRANSPIRATION SLOWS DOWN RAPIDALLY.
