Poem - Aunt Jenifer's tiger!!
Dear student,
a. Aunt Jennifer's hands will continue to look terrified even after her death as they were burdened by the wedding band and ordeal of an unhappy marriage.
b. Aunt Jennifer has been serving her husband for years and even after she would be dead, the wedding band would lay on her finger as a reminder of her duties towards her husband and her alliance with him. Whereas, the tigers she has made would be free and would not be bound by any duties or afraid of any alliance.
c. The ordeals that surround Aunt Jennifer are her life of oppression that she can live only according to the whims and wishes of a dominating husband.
d. 'Ringed with' is a pun: it implies the wedding ring that Aunt Jennifer wears which is a symbol of her oppression and misery. 'Ringed' means 'surrounded: her life is surrounded by ordeals.
