Pollination in gymnosperms is differ from angiosperms why?
Dear student
Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma. In angiosperms , immature seeds are located within carpels. In gymnosperms, seed plants have uncovered ovules to which the pollen is transferred, making these "naked seeds" .
Gymnosperms have simpler pollination as all transmit their pollen by wind whereas angiosperm have plenty of pollination methods involving many different agents to transfer pollen, including insects , birds , bats , wind and water . The different types of pollination in angiosperms is due to conspicuous floral display, with color and scent playing important roles.
