They should introduce ways and incentives to build up their competitiveness. Efforts towards increasing the efficiency should begin at the very first step, i.e., while hiring the workers. Employees should be recruited in a scientific manner. They should be assigned works according to their mental and physical qualities. For increasing the efficiency, a proper training should be given to the workers.

ii. Division of work: It means that a given task is divided into small parts or units to ensure that it is executed in a competent manner. These units should be assigned to each individual based on his ability rather than giving the whole of the work to one person. As the person tends to do that particular unit of the work on a routine basis, he will develop his expertise on the same. Thus, division of work promotes specialisation.
