Probability of two friends having same birthday on the month of march

Dear Student,
Taking into condition that One Friend is bon in march
Thus, The probability of having the 1st friend born in March = 1
And
For 2nd Friend,
Total No. of days in March = 31
Thus, Sample Space = 31
No. of possibilities of birthday on same date = 1
Thus Probability of having birthday on that date = No. of Possible OutcomesSample Space=131

Since These two are independent events.
Thus,
Net Probability of two friends having birthday in March on Same Date. = P1×P2=1×131=131

Here condition of birth for both the friends is the month of March. There are 31 days in March. So the sample space is 31. The first friend will have any of the 31 days as his birthday. The probability of the first friend will born in March is 31/31= 1. In case of second friend the favorable elementary event is 1, and so the probably that the second friend will have the same birthday is 1/31. Now the two events being independent the required probability = 1x(1/31) = 1/31.
