Prove that a unit matrix is its own inverse. Is the converse true?

For any matrix AA, the matrix BB is the inverse of AA if A⋅B=B⋅A=IA⋅B=B⋅A=I, where II is the identity matrix. Since I⋅I=II⋅I=I by definition, then the matrix II is the inverse of the matrix II.
