Q.1 Most social reformers founded a society or formed association through which they carried out the reforms. Why did they form associations and societies? Could they have not reformed the society single-handedly? Please don't send links
Most of the social reformers founded a society or formed association through which they carried out the reforms. It was because by forming a society or organisation they could bring the huge masses under one platform and spread the messages of reformation. The society at that time was rigid and conservative and it was difficult to bring reformation or change the age old practises. So to get in touch with the huge mass and create a positive influence , an organisation or society was needed. This task could not be done single handedly without forming an association.
