Q.1 When is the acceleration taken as negative?
Dear Studnet
Acceleration will be taken negative if the object moves in the direction opposite to the direction of acceleration.
For e.g. when a ball is thrown upwards the acceleration due to gravity will act downwards, so the acceleration on the ball will be negative.
