Q.13. What was wrong in the Pearson family?

The Pearson family reflects the attitude of a big part of society that considers the lady of the house not much more than a housemaid. the Pearson family expected Mrs Pearson to do all the house work, keep the food and clothes ready, keep the house in shipshape order and never acknowledge her contribution. She is left by herself in the evening as they go out to clubs and be with friends. Mrs Pearson had been reduced to a slave in her own household. The burden of housework was Mrs Pearson's to deal with: she was still unnoticed and unappreciated!
