Q.14. The molecular weight of O 2 and N 2 are 32 and 28 respectively. At 15 ° C the temperature of 1 g of O 2 will be the same as 1 g of N 2 in the same bottle at the temperature -
(1) 56 ° C
(2) - 15 ° C
(3) 13 ° C
(4) - 21 ° C

Dear student ,

Volume is same.
For oxygen:
Number of moles of 1 g of O2 = Given mass/Molar mass
n = 1/32
PV = nRT
T = 15+ 273 = 288K
PV = 132×R×288
For Nitrogen :
Number of moles of 1 g of N2 = 1/28
PV= nRT
PV= 128×R×T
132×R×288128×R×T
T = 252 K
T = 252-273 = -21oC
Option 4 is correct.

Regards
