17 b) Microbes are used in the laundry which is capable of digesting and breaking down organic stains, dirt etc. Microbe derived lipases are widely applied for breaking down oils stains. Microbe derived enzymes are even used in detergent to enhance its efficiency. 
17 c) Organic farming utilizes integrated pest management where farmers grow crops without the use of chemical fertilizers which kills the indigenous pest population thus hampering overall productivity. Organic farmers use a method that does not affect natural inhabitant of cropland and which lead to sustainable agriculture practice. Mixed cropping is part of organic farming that supports management of pest population.
