Dear Student,

Please find below the solutions of your asked query:

(i) As Platinum(Pt) is less reactive than Copper(Cu), so it will not be able to displace Copper from Copper Sulphate solution(CuSO4). Thus, no reaction takes place in this case.

(ii) As Zinc(Zn) is more reactive than Copper(Cu), so it will displace Copper from Copper Sulphate solution(CuSO4). Thus, displacement reaction takes place in this case which leads to the formation of Zinc Sulphate solution(ZnSO4) & Copper(Cu).

Reaction Involved:

Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) Displacement Reaction ZnSO4(aq) + Cu(s)

(iii) As Silver(Ag) is less reactive than Copper(Cu), so it will not be able to displace Copper from Copper Sulphate solution(CuSO4). Thus, no reaction takes place in this case.

Hope this information clears your doubts about the topic.

Looking forward to hear from you again!

Regards

Zn is more reactive than cu but pt and ag are less reactive than cu so zn will displace cu and reaction will be Zn + CuSo4 => ZnSo4 + Cu Hope it helps

As "pt(platinum)" is less reactive than copper , there will be no reaction taking place

The 2nd bit is correct . The one u wrote on the top

As "ag(silver)" is less reactive than copper , there will be no reaction taking place

Hope this helps u. Thumbs up pls
