Q.55. Which has greater lowering of vapour pressure?
1) 0.1 m Urea
2) 0.1 m Glucose
3) 0.1 m Sucrose
4) equal in all cases

Dear student,
Lowering of vapour pressure is a colligative property & depends  on the no. of dissolved solute particles. According to its formula,it also depends on the mole fraction of solute. But since all 3 solutions have equal molality of 0.1 m, this factor need not be accounted.
Since, urea, glucose and sucrose, all are non-electrolytes and do not ionise into ions when dissolved in water, they will have only 1 particles.Hence all will have same lowering of vapour pressure.
Correct option is 4
