Q.  A voltmeter of '0-50mv' range of resistance 50  Ω will have to convert with an Ammeter of range
'0- 10A'.  How it will be done ? What happens when ammeter is connected in a circuit with parallel ?

Dear Student,
We will connect a resistance(say r) in parallel with voltmeterso  according to question 10A=50×10-350×r50+r10r50+r=10-310r=50×10-3+r×10-3r=5×10-3 ohm (approximately).When ammeter is connected parallel in circuit If it is in appropriate range it will act as an voltmeter
but is has very low resistance so all the current will pass through it

Ammeter is a low resistance device sobshould be connected in series so that max current passes through it but if it is connected in parallel then no current flows through it
