Q.Artificial methods of vegetative propagation are widely used in agriculture and horticulture. Cutting, budding, grafting , layering and tissue culture are some of the methods of artificial propagation.
a) Explain the method of grafting with the help of a flow chart.

Dear student,

Two plants species with suitable characters are selected ------> The part containing the suitable or desired character of each plant is grafted one onto the other. Scion is part with desirable buds, stems, and leaves which is being grafted and stock is the part present on the rooted plant and onto which the other part is grafted--------> The grafted part is then tied with a cloth for few days to allow the graft to develop tissues--------> The new plant with desired characters from two different plant species is allowed to grow fully.

Regards.
