Q. EXPLAIN THE WORKING OF THE CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY FOR FRAMING THE CONSTITUTION. (3)

1. The Constituent Assembly of India was a body consisting of indirectly elected representatives tasked with drafting the Constitution of India. It was formed in 1946.
2.The members of the assembly were voted by the members of the provincial legislatures.
3. The Assembly was diverse and represented members from different religions and occupations, and castes.
4. The constitution is an institution in itself and the constituent assembly worked in a transparent way.
5. A draft was prepared by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar which was then discussed and nearly two thousand amendments were considered.
6. Over 114 days spread over three years the constitutions finer points were discussed, debated and finalised.
7. The process which started in July 1946 saw the partition and the assembly adopted the constitution on 26 November 1949.
8. It came into effect on 26 January 1950, bringing to the world a constitution which guaranteed universal franchise and equality that was never seen before or practised.

The constituent assembly which was the Assembly formed for making the constitution is a very very important role in making this lawful constitution who decide the future of India and its people by drafting the constitution the constituent assembly the great work because it contains the fundamental rights and duties that of State Policy and also the Laws concerned on people on each ground and also for the reservations and education systems and many more so the drafting committee inside the constituent assembly with BR Ambedkar as the chairman played a huge roll because he was the main person behind of the making of the Law of constitution
