We have,px = (k-1)(x2+kx+1), as the given polynomialSince,  -3 is a zero of px, then,p-3 = 0⇒(k-1)(-3)2+k(-3)+1=0⇒ (k-1)(10-3k) = 0⇒k = 1 or k=103
