Q. In the following question a statement of Assertion is given by a statement of Reason just below it.

a. If both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion
b. If both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion.
c. If Assertion is true , but Reason is false.
d. If both Assertion and Reason are false.

Assertion : In alcoholic drink, the alcohol is converted into glucose in liver
Reason: Liver cells are able to produce glucose for alcohol by back fermentations.

Dear student ,

In this case , both the Assertion and reason are FALSE.
The alcohol is first oxidised in the Liver into acetaldehyde and subsequently into acetone.
The acetone is then converted into acetyl CoA which a material of Krebs' cycle.
hence , both assertion and reason are wrong.

Regards!
