(Q.) Name the organs which secrete carboxypeptidases and amino peptidases respectively . Also give the functions performed by these enzymes.

Carboxypeptidase is an enzyme secreted by pancreas. It is involved in various functions like digestion of protein, blood clotting, wound healing, growth factor production, reproduction etc. Amino peptidase is secreted by glands of small intestine. It helps in digestion of protein.

CARBOXYPEPTIDASE

Carboxypeptidase is secreted by Pancreas in inactive form (procarboxypeptidase) and is activated by trypsin. Carboxypeptidase is also secreted by small intestine as brush border enzyme.carboxypeptidases were  involved in the digestion of food. However, most of the known carboxypeptidases are not involved in catabolism; they help to mature proteins or regulate biological processes.Carboxypeptidases also function in blood clotting, growth factor production, wound healing, reproduction, and many other processes.

AMINOPEPTIDASES

aminopeptidase is a zinc-dependent enzyme produced and secreted by glands of the small intestine. It helps the enzymatic digestion of proteins.
