(i) The common names of Apis dorsata , Apis florae and Apis cerena indica are the giant honey bee, the dwarf honey bee, and Indian honey bee respectively.
(ii) Apis mellifera is an Italian bee variety. Italian bees are more desirable for honey production because they have high yield of honey are stingless and can live long in the beehives as compared to the other bees.
(iii) Factors that affect the quality of honey produced are:
1. Type of flowers from which nectar is collected
2. Natural environment where the bees thrive
3. Amount and types of sugars present in the honey
4. Viscosity of honey is affected by temperature and water content
5. Flavour of honey is affected by the types and amounts of acids present
6. Commercially, the handling, processing and storage methods, may also affect honey quality.
