Q.Rahul is pushing a box.The limiting friction b/w the box and the ground is 60 newton.

a)Rahul applied a force of 100 newton on a box to move it.The force of friction b/w the box and the ground is 80 newton.Find the net force.

Dear student,
The force of friction always opposes the motion .
So the net force on the box will be

f= 100-80  = 20N

As the limiting friction is 60N it is the minimum force required to just start moving the body.
