(a)   α   ±   β  =  π 2              (b)   α π 2                  (c) |  α β | =  π 2                (d)  α β

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query:

For any line ax+by+c=0Slope of line=-Coefficient of xCoefficient of yNowxcosα+ysinα=p1Slope=m1=-cosαsinα=-cotαxcosβ+ysinβ=p2Slope=m2=-cosβsinβ=-cotβAs lines are perpendicular, hencem1.m2=-1-cotα-cotβ=-1cotα.cotβ=-1cotα=-1cotβcotα=-tanβcotα=cotπ2+β or cotα=-cotπ2-βcotα=cotπ2+β or cotα=cot-π2-βcotα=cotπ2+β or cotα=cotβ-π2α=π2+β or a=β-π2α-β=π2 or α-β=-π2Combining answers we get α-β=π2 answer

x cosa + ysin a = p1      - L1
x cosb + y sinb = p2      - L2
m1 = -cota      m2= -cotb
for l1 and l2 to be perpendicular,
m1m2=-1
-cota.-cotb=-1
cota=tan(180-b)
90-a=180-b
a~b=90
option (c) is correct
