Dear student, A potentiometer is called sensitive if fall of potential per unit length ie potential gradient is small. The slope of V-l graph gives a potential gradient which is smaller for the potentiometer wire Q than for potentiometer wire P. Hence, potentiometer wire Q is more sensitive. Therefore, it will be more accurate and sensitive. Hence, the Potentiometer Q will be preferred than the Potentiometer P. Regards
