Q1=Hydrolysis of ethyl acetate is pseudo first order reaction but that of methyl acetate it is first order reaction, why?

Hydrolysis of both ethyl acetate and methyl acetate is a pseudo first order reaction.

In fact the hydrolysis of all the Easters is a pseudo first order reaction.

This is because there are two reactants involved in the reaction i.e. ester molecules and water molecules but still the order of reaction is one. This is due to the fact that water is present in excess and its concentration remains almost same during the reaction so the rate of reaction depends mainly on the concentration of  ester.
