Q1- In what ways are weavers depent on cloth merchants?
Q2-What are the demands foreign buyers make on the garment exporters? Why do the garment exporters agree to these demands?

Dear student,

1)

Weavers are dependent on cloth merchant because:

  • Weavers bringing cloth that has been made on order from the merchant.
  • Merchants supply cloth on order to garment manufacturers and exporters around the country.
  • They purchase the yarn and give instructions to the weavers about the kind of cloth that is to be made.
 2) The foreign buyers demand lowest prices from the supplier. They even set a high standard for quality of production and demand for timely delivery of goods.

The garment exporters agree to their demands because for any delay in delivery or defect in the quality of products, the exporters will have to face serious consequences which may lead to heavy losses for them.
