Q1- what is Fe3O4? we know that the valency of iron is either 2 (ferrous) or 3 (ferric) . then from where did this 4 com from. also the valency of oxygen id 2,then from where did this 3 come from?

Q2-what is the name of SO2 , SO3 ,SO4. what are their valancies?

, SO

1. Fe3O4 is a substance that contains Fe2O3  and FeO. Its molecular formula can also be written as Fe2O3.FeO and it is also  called ferrosoferric oxide. In Fe2O3, valency of Fe and O are 3 and 2 respectively while in FeO, both have a valency of 2.

2. SO2 is sulphur dioxide and valency of S is 2 and that if O is 1.
SO3 is sulphur trioxide
Valency of S is 3
Valency of O is 1
SO4 does not exist. Probably this refers to sulphate anion, SO42-.
It has a valency of 2 (valency of any ion is the magnitude or positive integer of its charge).
SO32- is sulphite anion with a valency of 2.
