2. Water shortage is mostly observed in summers.
3. Water is essential for life and every process going around in the world. Without water our planet would not have life, no plants, no animals and no humans. Water covers around 70% of Earth's surface, but of this only 3 % is suitable for drinking. Also, most of the fresh water is frozen and exists as glaciers and ice caps. So, it is very important to save water, use it judiciously and avoid wasting it. World water day is celebrated to spread awareness regarding this importance of fresh water and how to prevent it's wastage.
In short, to make people aware about the importance of conserving water.
