1. Only the substances which are made up of living organisms are degradable by natural processes and organisms. Other substances like which are radioactive in nature, made up of metals, plastics etc. are not degradable or take millions and hundreds of years to degrade.

3. If all the wastes we generate is bio-degradable, then the amount of pollution and harmful wastes in our environment will decrease enormously. It will make the environment clean and healthy. Also, the diseases and health problems will decrease and people will be able to live a healthier and happier life.
