Q11 pls solve fast
Dear student,
The two scales of vernier calipers are Main Scale and Vernier Scale.
A main scale is like the normal scale which we use which can measure the minimum of 1mm or 0.1 cm. Along with that we also have a vernier scale. When we want to measure something we first note down its main scale reading which is the reading which coincides with 0 of vernier scale. Then on the vernier scale we see the division which coincides with any other main scale division and use it to find vernier scale reading. On adding these 2 we obtain the total reading. The least count of vernier scale is the least count of main scale divided by number of vernier scale divisions. If the number of vernier scale divisions is 10 then the least count in this case is 0.1mm or 0.01 cm. Thus a vernier scale can measure upto 0.01cm.
