Question no 2

Dear student. The balanced equation for the formation of CO2 is as follows : 2CO + O2 → 2CO2 2 Volumes of CO reacts with 1 Volume of O2 to form 2 volumes of CO2 Therefore 100 cm3 of CO would react with with 50 cm3 of O2 only to form 100 cm3 CO2. Amount of Oxygen left after the reaction = 100cm3 - 50 cm3 = 50 cm3 So, at the end of reaction there would be 100 cm3 of CO2 and 50 cm3 of O2 ..... Hope it is clear. Regards
