Read the extract given below and answer the questions that follow:
"(For song, issuing from its birth-place, after fulfilment, wandering Reck'd or unreck'd, duly with love returns)
(i) How is the song similar to the rain?
(ii) What do the words "reck'd or unreck'd" suggest?
(iii) How does a song seek its fulfilment?

Dear student,

The answers are as follows:
  • The rain has been compared to a song because the falling of the rain creates a musical tone. A song has the ability to rise up and engulf the atmosphere, captivating its listeners which is also a task performed by the rain, nourishing the soul as well as the earth.
  • The words suggest that with or without change, rain returns to its origin just like a song does.
  • The song seeks its fulfilment by travelling around the world and in due course changing and not changing to certain extent and returning to its place of origin.
Regards
