Refering to the picture attached below.. I've a doubt. That if pi x D ans 2 x pi x r are the same thing then why doubt we use pi x D for finding the circumference? And some other formula for calculating the area of circle, replacing Radius with the Diameter and divide it by 4??

Explain in detail.
