Reproductive and Child Healthcare (RCH) programmes are currently in operation. One of the major tasks of these programmes is to create awareness amongst people about the wide range of reproduction related aspects. As this is important and essential for building a reproductively healthy society.  
 (a) “Providing sex education in schools is one of the ways to meet this goal.” Give four  points in support of your opinion regarding this statement.  
 (b) List any two ‘indicators’ that indicate a reproductively healthy society. 

Dear student,
a) Following are the reasons:-
1) Misconception about sex education can be overcome by providing correct information regarding aspects of sex education.
2) Giving them information about sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS and methods to prevent such diseases.
3) Providing students information about the changes which occur during adolescence.
4) Providing information to students about safe sex, sexual abuse, uncontrolled population growth etc for a healthy society.

b) Two indicators of a healthy reproductive society are:- 1) Improved medical facilities for sexual diseases. 2) Proper detection and cure of sexually transmitted diseases.
