Resistors are connected in parallel or series?how you can say that

Dear student,
We can say that two resistors are connected in series combination if the current flowing through each resistor is same. Since in series combination, same amount of current flows in every part of circuit.
If two resistors are connected in parallel combination, different amount of current flows through each of them as determined by resistance.

The first circuit shows resistors labelled as "R" connected in parallel and would have different amount of current flow while the lower circuit shows resistors "R" connected in series and would have same amount of current flow.
So, in the attached image (with question), the two resistors are connected in series.

When current divides then resistance in parallel....and current is same in branch then in series...

In the given pic they are in series. If same voltage is around each of the resistor then they are in parallel but if theres not the same voltage but same current flows through them then they are in series.
