Respected Sir/Madam,
The question asked by me was that what is the product when the above compound reacts with HBr in dark. The answer given by an expert was as depicted above. But, the product of the reaction is actually the one which I have drawn above. I only know the answer but I do not know how this product is formed and its mechanism.
Kindly Explain.As soon as possible.

With the reagent given HBr the answer given by me is the correct answer. Because its a HBr addition reaction. As you have given the product as above, some more reagent is there. And its Dehydrohalogenating agent (alc KOH or NaNH2 or C2H5ONa. With that guess, I am writing you the mechanism.
